Air Xpand!2 suddenly no longer reading midi input in mixcraft 8.1

A couple years ago I purchased Xpand!2 and added it to my mixcraft virtual instrument arsenal. A few months ago the plugin randomly stopped seeing my midi input. I have done considerable troubleshooting to no avail. Midi controller on, working fine on other tracks, midi input set to "all midi channels", and it even will give me audio output when I click on the piano roll or write in midi notes with the pencil feature. The really strange part is that it reacts with musical typing, and it will record midi from my keystation 61 but will not give output either during recording or playback. My midi controller is working properly in every way except for this bug, leading me to believe that the issue is in the plugin itself and not mixcraft or the midi controller drivers. I have to emphasize that it was working perfectly fine until one day it simply was not. Can't say for sure if this was correlated with a mixcraft update, but I can't rule it out either as nothing else in my setup has changed hardware or software wise. I have already uninstalled, reinstalled, and rescanned my VSTs, at which point the problem persisted. I am running mixcraft 8.1 pro studio build 418. Thanks!

Do you see the MIDI In indicator light up at the bottom of Mixcraft's screen? Do other virtual instruments pick up MIDI right now?

Just following up on this. I'm having no problems using midi in mixcraft whatsoever outside of this plugin.

If you use it in a new, empty project, does the same thing happen?

Nothing has changed in Mixcraft 8. Have you contacted the makers of the plug-in?

I tried mine - hadn't used it in v 9 and it works fine. Must be a tech issue

yup, still happens when its a new project. I have not contacted Air but I wanted to see if there was something else I hadn't tried yet that someone on here might know. Thanks.
