This thing has been doing my brain in for days!
I know it must be something blatantly obvious, but I can't figure out what it is.
Project key is B-flat, and these notes, when played back are in perfect pitch although some (red square) are shown as being 2 half steps lower than they actually are - ie. the C5 is actually a D5.
Yes, there is a couple of pitch wheeled notes from B-flat to C, but those unaffected notes should all be 2 half steps higher than shown on the piano roll. Note, I have the sound tab switched to 'use project key'.
I have an idea that I may have transposed my keyboard (Novation Launchkey 49) to C when recording the original, but transposing + 2 again makes no difference. Weird - I press a C and it's right to the ear but when recorded it shows and sounds as a D.
Any ideas fellas?
EDIT: Sorry, that first note in the circle would be right - its pitch shifted from C5 to D5.

Re: What's Happening with the Pitch Here?
That's super coincidental that you mention the pitch. Somehow today, and I have no idea how, all of my tracks were playing a whole step lower. I was working on an audio track and used melodyne to try and change the pitch on one of the notes. I hit undo on everything because I wanted to get back to the orignal state of the track. At this point - the audio was all a whole step lower and when I played my keyboard, the virtual instrument was also playing a whole step lower. I turned up the volume on my keyboard so i could hear it and Mixcraft - the keyboard was in pitch; mixcraft - both virtual and audio was out of pitch. There was no time stretch as i didn't alter the tempo - which shouldn't have affected the virtual instrument anyway. So idunno... Is there some mystery button that pitch shifts the project? I also didn't change the project key. By any chance did you use Melodyne?

Thanks for your input!
No, I'd just started work on the project and had an audio reference track (MP3), a basic EZDrummer beat and was just just starting to work on the trumpet piece. So no major loss; I may just start all over maybe in MC 8 to see if I encounter problems...

Re: What's Happening with the Pitch Here? (Updated; not Solved)
Yeah, following my last reply above, I started the project over again.
What I'm doing is using the intro of one version of a song with the body of another version of the same song. I'm also planning a straight to swing tempo change for the choruses.
Thing is, both songs are in different keys and at different BPM's and I can't get them to sync properly (See another post I have 'Doubling Detected Tempo'
I forced them to the same key [C] because I'm lazy So I'll be able to do the MIDI parts with relative ease. Then I'll drop the finished song to B-flat to better suit the vocal.
EDIT! And yet another discovery. When adding a pitch wheel curve to any MIDI note, all following notes drop in pitch by 2 half steps and have to be physically raised on the piano roll to be in tune

Re: What's Happening with the Pitch Here? (Update, not Solved!)
Hi,
If I add pitch wheel, the pitch returns to normal after the last pitch CC.
What happens if you don't select "Use Project Key," and make sure that the Transpose value is 0.0?

Make sure you set the end of the pitch wheel curve back to 0.

I think that was it Tom! Thanks buddy. Yep, you can see some of those 'blips' after the the drawn curves. Erased them now all is good!

Re: What's Happening with the Pitch Here? (Solved!)
I'll check for ptich wheel and mod changes that I may have bumped somwhere along the line. I haven't been able to recreate my issue (then again I don't want it to happen )
Thanks
