I don't think this option exists in Mixcraft.

Re: instrument track to another track.
Hi,
But you can put both virtual instruments on a track and have MIDI go from one virtual instrument to the next, so what I'm suggesting should work. I don't have Addictive Drums to test it, but I can certainly have EZDrummer as the first instrument, and have it pass MIDI to Acoustica Studio Drums or whatever.
He wrote that he wanted to hit EZDrummer and have it show up in Addictive Drums, so that should work.
It possibly won't work if the drums are mapped differently and a kick in EZDrummer doesn't produce sound in Addictive Drums.

Hey, look at that! Serendipitous.
And if you don't want the sound of EZD but just AD to play, you would then turn down the volume of EZD all the way and you'd only hear AD. Assuming all the hits are lined up, of course.
I'm still not seeing why you'd want to do that when you could just either play AD directly or drag EZD grooves into it, but whatever.

Re: instrument track to another track.
Well...
Maybe I'm just still confused. (Probable)
I can see how the stacked method would work, if you were sending midi from Mixcraft.
And Ive lost track of the plot... But as I think I understand it, the OP wanted to use the midi within one of the drum samplers, but drive the samples from another.
If stacked, the output of one vsti becomes the input of the next right?
If you are using the midi within the sampler, (say EZD for example) wouldnt the output be audio? So that would not be able to drive the samples in a second drum sampler then right?
I am probably missing the point. Or missing something obvious.
Either way, it makes my head hurt.

Re: instrument track to another track.
I watched that video again and am convinced that it is just another way of stacking the plugins as Greg described. Note that the narrator said that you turn off all "the blue lights. This will mute all the outputs of MT", which is just another way of saying, in Mixcraft, when stacked, turn down the volume of EZD and you'll only hear AD play.
I think we are being asked if we can skin a cat in a way that is not necessary for Mixcraft. Perhaps it is in Cubase, but not here.
