Melodyne and weird mp3 problem

Hi guys,

I have a weird problem that I cannot figure out.

So I have a song I am working on. When I play it back in Mixcraft everything sounds fine.

When I mix it down to an mp3 WITHOUT doing anything with Melodyne it plays fine.

When I mix it down to an mp3 after making some very basic changes with Melodyne it does this weird thing.

The changes I made where using the pitch slider, timing slider and make loud notes softer slider.

When playing the mp3 and it gets to the very end of the vocal track it sounds like it loops for a half second and starts to play the beginning of the vocal track.

It does NOT do this when playing back from Mixcraft. ONLY when playing from the mp3.

If I go to my save (I save ALOT) just before messing with Melodyne the mp3 mixes down fine.

I am literally just going to the Melodyne tab and changing 3 sliders all under 50%. That's it. This causes the mp3 half second loop problem.

Why would the mix down to mp3 cause the vocal track to start from the beginning for a half second when using Melodyne?

Thank you for any help!!!!!

Thank you, I will try it.

It is only happening on the vocal track that I edited with Melodyne. No other tracks have an issue. If I go back to the save right before I used Melodyne it mixes down fine without the loop to the first note.

I isolated the issue to the mp3 mix down looping the vocal track and playing the first note in Melodyne of the vocal track.

Everything is working fine within Mixcraft.

I am also a little confused on the instructions. Are they saying to import the mp3 file into Mixcraft and play it to see if the problem is still there?

Why would Melodyne loop to the first note when mixed down to mp3, but not in Mixcraft itself?

I guess the other thing I could try would be to mixdown to a different format such as WAV.

I will try more things tonight when I get home from work.

Also, I am not using any plugins and only have 3 tracks recorded. Melodyne is the only thing I used.

Thank you Acoustica Greg!! That was the problem.

I just mixed down as a WAV @48000 and it worked fine.

When I imported the mp3 I could see the added first note.

So I will just mix down as a WAV, import the WAV and then mix down as an mp3 if I need the file to be small to send out.
