I'm a novice user trying to record my drums. I figured out how to get the separate midi tracks from my Alesis Strike Pro controller into Mixcraft. As you would expect, I'm only triggering default piano sounds.
What would be the best way to get my desired drums instruments to be available in Mixcraft 9? I tried copying my Alesis files and saving them in the Mixcraft instrument folder but it doesn't recognize the files. I'm considering buying drum plug ins? but not sure which type of files will work.
Overall I got my individual pads to trigger separate tracks in Mixcraft which is awesome from one USB connection. Now I'm trying to basically add my own drums instruments for the sound.
If possible can you please advise the best way to do this?
Thank you

Hi,
Are they MIDI files? MIDI files don't contain any audio. Simply select a drum virtual instrument for the track.
