Voice-over recording

Post by toplisek »

I'm new to voice recording but I try to purchase software but do not know which the best fits into voice recording:
1. https://acoustica.com/store/mixcraft-9-pro-studio
2. https://new.steinberg.net/cubase/new-features/
Cubase Elements 11

As I understand both are the leading recording applications. How to know which is the best to be used for the voice-over recording?

Choice of DAW is totally personal, it's what you like and how you like to use it. They're all basically the same in terms of function, some suited towards a bit different markets but generally the same. I'm just a hobbyist and I liked the look, function and extras that came with Mixcraft. Been on board since v6 and am glad I've kept with it.

Try the demo, try as many demos as you can, see what you like and which one you find best to work with. For what you get, you will find that MC is one of the best bargains out there.

I mean I gotta agree with the above comment. I've used a few out there. I find the industry Ableton just not as intuitive as MC9.
The workflow is easy to use for 90% of your projects, its categorising of plugins/vsts etc is functional and efficient.
Its worked with all the equipment ive needed to apart from Voicemod when recording audio which means if im going to use those functions I have to use a different DAW.
