Looking for a 60's Organ Sound

Post by TrevsAudio »

Hey guys!
An appeal mainly to the Old Farts amongst us I guess... :D
I'm working on a VERY 60's instrumental; mainly guitar based, but it also features the unique sound of a 60's Vox Continental organ - think 'House of the rising sun' by The Animals and The Doors 'Light my fire'.
Do we have anything in our MX Pro VSTI arsenal that may come close?
Thanks!

Huh. Good question.
I am not a keyboard guy by any stretch, and always assumed that was a "cleaner" B3 or something, (as opposed to the over-driven Marshall amplified Deep Purple sound for example.)
I have a good emulation of the classic B3, Rhodes, Whurli, and more. Never seem to touch them though!
I vaguely recall mention of a Vox Continental, but the shorter answer is.... Dunno! 8)

OK, a quick bit of research as I attempt to reduce my ignorance.... Reveals that you may want to try this: https://plugins4free.com/plugin/1004/

Or this: https://www.martinic.com

Then you must report back with the results for me and that other old timer here....

Thank you Chairman of the OFC!
Been tinkering with EZKeys and their 70's Rhodes emulation could possible be tweakable...

Thanks Mark!
The first link did it! That's exactly what I'm after :D
The second doesn't work back in the UK
Should be done in a day or two and I'll send a link

Sorry I chimed in late but another freebie organ that sounds good is the VL122, should be able to google it. Also the VB3 that is in Mixcraft does a pretty good emulation. Mark's second link has an extra parenthesis in front of it. :D
