I want to record wah or whammy through Amplitube 5 VST3.
My understanding is as follows:
My interface is an ikMultimedia Axe I/O with an expression pedal plugged in.
Set up an audio track with Amplitube as an effect. Arm for record.
Set up a midi channel with Axe I/O as an input.
Ok so far. But my understanding is that I need to setup the midi output to be input to Amplitube 5. That's where I'm hitting a road block. I don't see how I send the expression pedal output to the Amplitube audio channel.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks

Re: Recording Amplitube 5 Expression Pedal
Start reading the Mixcraft 9 manual at page 214 ( Track Automation ). When you open an automation lane you should be able use the drop down menu and the parameter for the Amplitude Wah should be available. Then you just arm the automation track also with the audio track and start recording and the automation track should record the data for that parameter.

Thanks Govt Mule. That points me in the right direction. When I record the automation, it appears as a 'greyed out" wave form below the audio file. I'm not hearing the automation. Is that correct?

Re: Recording Amplitube 5 Expression Pedal
I think this may be it, on your pedal in Amplitube5 (vst3 gave me isssues but vst2 is fine), right click on the pedal, go to assign automation, select which you want to automate then give it a parameter, like 1. In MC open automation and select parameter 1 in the dropdown. Then arm the automation and you can go real time.

Re: Recording Amplitube 5 Expression Pedal
Thanks guys. I solved it. Had to change global parameter in Amplitube. Now the track lane is displayed as midi data!
Thanks again!
