Re wire

Post by bryzar »

Hi everyone
I only know a little of the re-wire concept.
Anyway what I want to achieve is using 2 DAWS and using split monitors ( I have Pro studio 9 ) I basically want to split up/isolate tracks
eg one daw on one monitor takes care of all instruments the other daw on the other monitor for Vocals drums etc. At the moment I constantly have to collapse/expand submix tracks and with all the other reverb return tracks etc it all gets a bit clumsy and I do get a bit lost sometimes and slows down workflow.
So can is this idea unfeasible or is it a just read about it no brainer?
Thanks in advance

No real info to share but I do wonder how much cpu power you're going to use if you're using 2 DAW simultaneously? Maybe an extra or even bigger monitor would be more prudent?

Hi,

When you add a ReWire track to Mixcraft, the audio from the other program shows up on that track. So, you would have one track in Mixcraft with all the sound from the other DAW.
