Export multiple tracks - what about the takes?

Post by RollingStone »

hello,

i guess i already know the answer, but i'll give it a try.

in my project i just recorded about 15 tracks just for the final lead guitars, each track with several takes for the mixer to choose and cut, simply how it's done. now i wanted to export all of them but i'm only allowed to export individual or all tracks, NOT all the takes.

i know the option to copy all the project files to a new folder but this is completely useless here because these files aren't exported stems but just the blank audio files without any project positions/context.

am i right that i now have to create about 200 another new tracks and move every single take from my 15 lead guitar tracks in one of these single new tracks that in the end i can export them all as single tracks/stems for the mixer?

thanks

Hi,

Yeah, Mixcraft doesn't have an option to mix lanes down to stems, so you'd have to put each take on its own track.
