hey everyboda,
i got the newest mixcraft 9 pro version, an i5 4590, 16gb ram and an AMD R260x 1GB graphiccard, which is much more faster than the integrated intel hd 4600.
Win10 is fresh installed, newest AMD-driver.
but: i cant edit videos - its terrible slow. pressing play-button takes 1-5 seconds to play. the AMD is sometimes on 100% - even when i stopped the video in mixcraft.
have a look at this video, to see what i mean:

i tried the amd-wdm-driver via windows-update and installed the k-lite_codec_pack_1630 - no improvement
do you think, it will work better with the integrated intel iGPU?
or better an NVIDIA?
what are your experiences?
thanks for your help!

First off I do not do video.
I would do some diagnostics like, does an audio only project ( no video ) playback and record etc. alright? If it does then you most likely have it nailed down to do with graphics.
Then I would remove the AMD graphics card and use the integrated Intel graphics and see how that performs. If it does alright then you have it nailed down to the AMD card. Whether it is a driver problem or setting is beyond me but at least you have narrowed the possibilties.
If both graphic cards have problems then hopefully somebody with more knowledge can chime in and help.

Yes, you might want to check your videocard or something else, since the video editing works pretty well on my computer, even though it is old and it need of replacement.

I would get the latest stable driver for your video card from the chipset manufacturer (AMD or NVIDIA). Uninstall whatever driver you have now first, then install that.
What is the source of the video, what camera or device? iPhone, Canon DSLR, etc?

i5-4590 is from 2014, chips have gotten WAY better since then, that's the issue.

I gonna ask the obvious here, but are you trying to edit 4K videos?
4K *editing* is still very resource-demanding even on relatively modern hardware.
