Variable hertz and bit-rates on tracks

Post by greenteaisgreat »

Hi all, so somehow or another, I was recording variable bit-rates and hertz when I was recording different tracks for the same song. Some are 44,100hz, 16 bit and others are 48,000hz, 32 bit. Is there any way to change the hz/bit-rate on a single track? It sounds *okay* if I mix down to the higher bit-rate, but if possible, I'd just like to change them all to the same bit rate and hertz.

Thank you for any and all information! :D

I think a wav editor like audacity or sound forge will allow you to change the formal bitrate and samplerates. As to quality of how it interpolates the "in-between" datapoints of new file, especially when upsampling, I don't know if you're better off just leaving things as they are or not?
