vst instruments: Messiah v1 and Messiah v2

Post by Sturdy »

Hi, I'm working on pruning and categorizing my vst library. I was wondering Is the Messiah v2 an improved version Messiah v1 (based on prophet 5 synth), or are they different models and do they do different things? (Basically should I keep them both loaded?) Thanks,

Highlights are: improved oscillator quality, new filter models, full LFO’s, new effects (delay, distortion, reverb…), MPE support and a better GUI. An excellent news is that this update is free of charge for existing users! If you search a Prophet 5 emulation that is affordable but with a great sound, than check out Messiah v2.
Seems like it's an improved version of the first iteration, not an entirely new instrument, so I would say keep v2.

I get reports of crashes with Messiah v1 from time to time, so that might be another reason to use v2.

On the other hand.......

For some reason with v2 you can't do glissandos using the mouse. :) And the presets appear somewhat different...I mostly use v1.
