just as the subject reads....... is there anyway i can open my old MX5 Files? maybe on MX8 or any versions of this program still support??? please i could really use these files, i have an album i wrote on there that is complete GOLD. I just need to mixdown the files, any help at all would be greatly appreciated!! thnks!

Yes, Mixcraft 9 can open Mixcraft 5 projects, but Mixcraft 5 can't open Mixcraft 9 projects.
You'd also need any audio files that went along with those Mixcraft 5 projects. If you only have the project files, then the audio will be missing.

Thank you so much! I posted this question thinking nobody would respond... This is very useful information though, even though my MX5 files are from 2012, i still have the audio saved on a hard drive - - now the problem is sorting through the duplicates, 20 files named "audio-track-01.wav", ETC.
