Solved - Non MX question - Melodyne reverts back to essentials

Post by MikeDVI »

Hi all, today will be the third time in about 6 months that my installation of Melodyne "Editor" (5.1.1) randomly reverts back to essentials. Usually their support people get me through it, but I was wondering if anyone else experiences the issue?

Uninstalling, reinstalling, downloading a fresh installer, nothing helps. Usually the fix is based around my license keys getting all crossed up and the support people have to reset me for some odd reason.

Noteworthy this time is my "essentials" license shows activated 11.01.2021.

Thanks and all the best - Mike

I had the exact same problem.
The solution for me was to remove Essentials from my computer altogether.

Thanks Trevlyns…

Actually you just reminded me that that’s what tech had me do last time - go find it and delete it completely off of the PC. Somehow essentials snuck back in, I’ll have to go see what I can do!

Update, customer support had me perform a full uninstall as Trevlyns suggested, and I did find essentials was back on my PC. I am back in business.

But alas, who knows - why does this happen?

I've never had a problem since...
Once Essentials is gone it can't creep back - I think?
