Post by mistertee »

Hello,

I just prdered a new PC (will be arriving in about a week) and wanted to verify Vista 64 bit compatibility for the latest versions of:

Mixcraft 4
MP3 CD Burner
Audio Converter Pro
Spin It Again
Label Maker

TIA,

Hi,

Mixcraft 4, Spin It Again and Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker are completely compatible (of course the hardware devices you are interfacing with them have to be compatible, too).

Audio Converter Pro won't work at all with any 64-bit version of Windows (the right-click menu doesn't pop up).

MP3 CD Burner works fine if you can run it in Goldenhawk mode. In IMAPI mode, some people see flickering problems and MP3 CD burning doesn't work right.

Oh, and the help files for MP3 CD Burner and the converter won't open under any flavor of Windows Vista.

Thanks Greg. I know my printers and scanner have 64 bit drivers available. When you mention compatible hardware does that include external USB DVD-RW drives? I had assumed they would be compatible since the necessary drivers are contained in Windows. At least that was the case in XP.

Yeah, USB devices should be okay.
