Remember way up there when I suggested reading the reviews?

I suppose in your case it doesn't matter whether you buy from a shop or go online. You won't be playing with it on the same day anyway so returning by mail is probably just as cheap as hopping on a ferry.
Nevertheless. Have a good look around for Audio Interfaces on sites like this http://www.thomann.de/gb/usb_audio_interfaces.html then search for reviews on whichever product catches your eye.
Say e.g. "M Audio, Fast Track Pro, Reviews" in the search box and see what comes up. If the same problems keep coming up with one product, move on to another.
Or not! :D
Jim

And Yes. If you want to use it live, you'll need an amp. If you just want to record with it, you won't.

Interesting. On half the review, they say it stinks, and the other half says its amazing. Very weird. I mainly looked at musiciansfriend.com, and most of the review said it was good. I chose on the Behringer Xenyn instead. Does anybody know how well that does with recording?

One consistent factor in the reviews is "It's noisy". I would walk away for that reason but it's a great looking piece of equipment.

Strange, I got mine and while it has a very faint hissing noise (you can barely hear it, and only when there's nothing else playing), it has absolutly no other problems.
