Mixcraft 4 Crashing when I hit "Record".

Post by Jim Lad »

Hey Guys:
I've been using Mixcraft offline for months now (I get more done that way) and tonight thought I'd work on this PC for a change.
Mixcraft crashes about 10 seconds into recording so I uninstalled and downloaded the newest version.
Same problem. Screen goes foggy and a message comes up saying that it has detected an error of some sort.
I'm on Vista Ultimate, 64 bit and don't think I've even tried using MC on it since I installed it about 6 months ago.

Hi,

Check your recording device settings. What audio driver do you have selected? Do you have the latest updated version of this audio driver?

Yeah, it's your drivers. I would use ASIO for all if I were you.

I've had that crashing problem on a lot of different music programs and it's always the audio driver causing it.

Vista can open up all new weird problems, so I have no advice on that. You need to get the drivers for whatever audio device you're using, and make sure they are vista version.

Thanks.
I keep the drivers up to date and use the apropriate driver for each card.
I'm just wondering if Mixcraft has issues with 64 bit.
Cheers!
Jim
