Hi
Have been given a project to do 4 the first time and need this perfect (especially them knowing I boast about mixcraft)
This is the case;
I'll b using drums, bass, keyboard, organ, strings, horns, sax and vocals.
Here's what advice I need from u guys, starting simple of course
what effects do u apply on each instrument and vocals and what overall effects do u apply to the entire mix before mixdown?
thanx

it depends on the type of music you are trying to do.
for vocals add a little bit of reverb and compression to bring it out.
for the kicks add EQ , and apply bass boost.
and for all the rest its up to u.

Really there are no rules at all. Whatever works for you. I would recommend compressing vocals almost always though.
