Pianissimo

Post by Samoyedhead »

Hello, I am new to mixcraft and enjoying it very much. I am having a problem. When I let off the keys and have the sustain pedel down the recording cuts short. Am I doing something wrong or this common with a MIDI keyboard. ( I am not a keyboard player so I am new to MIDI) any help with this problem will help thanks and I sure that I am going to have many more questions. Thanks Jimmy

Hi,

Can you please explain the problem in more detail? Are you using the VST or the standalone version of Pianissimo? What do you mean when you say "the recording cuts short?" Are you recording in Mixcraft? If so, what version and build of Mixcraft are you using?

Hello again, I am using Mixcraft 4 and am using a VST ( I ordered the disc and loaded it). When I am recording with MC and I let off the keys the signal to the track does not sustain with the pedal the sound will cut off on the track while it sustains through the headphones. I am using a M audio 88 ES MIDI controller. I use a Line 6 UX 2 as my sound device. I plug the M audio keyboard directly into the computer. Should I find a way to plug into the Line 6. This happens with all the keyboard sounds such as strings and such, I cannot use a sustain pedal. If I can't, is there a way to use Pianissimo through an amp and mike it?

Hi,

When you depress the mechanical sustain pedal, do you see the sustain pedal in Pianissimo moving?

Hello again, Yes when I push the pedal it moves on the screen and it sujstains great what happens is I lose the signal to track on mixcraft. You see the bars when the keys are down and as soon as I let up the bars go away and I lose the recording signal not the sound from pianissimo.

Thanks again sorry this so hard for me to explain but I will keep on trying
Thanks Jimmy
