Plug ins won't show up on FX list

I've downloaded a number of VST plugins. Placed them in the VST folder. I see them load in the splash screen but they do not show up in the FX list.

Some of the files I've downloaded will show up but not all of them. In fact only a few seem to show up there. Am I doing something wrong or so some VST dll files just not work with Mixcraft?

Hi,

Are they VST effects or VST instruments? Have you looked in both places? Are you using Mixcraft 5.2 build 152?

I'm not quite sure. I thought they were just effects but they are possibly instruments. I'll have to check there. I'm still very new to this so I have plenty to learn.

Yes, I am using the latest version of Mixcraft.
