Hi,
Are you using Mixcraft 5.2 build 152? It's the latest version of Mixcraft.
In Mixcraft, click on the File menu, then select Preferences and look at the Sound Device preferences. What do you have selected there: Wave, ASIO or WaveRT? Which options are available? What kind of sound device do you have?

Hi,
The ultimate solution for serious home recording is to get a low-latency sound device that has its own ASIO drivers.

having some trouble in this field strangely all of a sudden too. in the middle of recording a song and am layering some guitar ambiance over the top of it and for some reason, i can't for the life of me get it to record and playback on time. my first note when i come in is right on tempo (even when zooming into the track i can see that it is right on the beat) but quickly after that, within a few measures, the timing gets way off.
never actually had this issue before. i upgraded to 5.2 build 152, but that didn't fix anything.
i use an m-audio fast track (always has worked for me before) and i'm on the Wave RT settings with a latency of 6. Forcing the single CPU doesn't seem to do anything either way, so i usually leave it unchecked. 48000Hz, 16 Bits stereo.
Any ideas? this is seriously stalling my progress and i have a bunch of deadlines i need to meet with my music! thanks for any help guys.

re
The fast track comes with an asio driver doesn't it? Use that instead of wavrt, see if that helps.
