Hi,
You've got something recorded on the Zoom R16 and you want to get it into Mixcraft? Check your Zoom R16 manual to find out how to transfer recorded files to your PC.
You can also use the Zoom R16 as an audio interface. I think it has to be turned off to do that? Check your documentation.

Hi,
Lots of people use a Zoom R16 with Mixcraft, so it should work.

Re: zoom R 16 and mixcraft 5.2
i am trying to bring eight (8) separate tracks that i have in the zoom over to mixcraft so that i can edit each track separately and then do a final mixdown and burn to cd in mixcraft

Hi Greg
I got it too work. I think i was concentrating too much on the control surface but that's for V6
thnx

Instead of putting the zoom in audio interface mode which is "control surface" set up, I had to put the zoom in card reader mode and drag each track individually into mixcraft and place the wav files into separate tracks.
You stated in some previous post that Version 6 will support control surfaces so I await anxiously for that.

Hi,
Yes, Mixcraft 6 will have MIDI-based control surface support.
Thanks for letting us know how you solved the problem, it may be helpful to other Zoom R16 owners!

Re: zoom R 16 and mixcraft 5.2
Hey Acoustica Greg (or anyone):
I'm not a Mixcraft customer yet, but I have been looking at it for a few days now and like what I see. I'm not trying to derail this thread, but I have a question that is somewhat related.
Earlier in this post you said "Mixcraft 6 Midi-based control surface support".
What does that really mean? I also use a ZOOM R-16 but is does not have Midi capabilities. So, will the faders on the ZOOM R-16 operate the volume controls in Mixcraft 6?
Thanks in advance for the response.

Hi,
It should work. I believe that the Zoom R16 does use MIDI for its control surface functions.
