Will there ever be a successor or upgrade for Beatcraft?

I love Beatcraft to death, but there are some small annoyances that I'd love to see dealt with. Chief among them, moving the tracks up and down is a massive pain in the butt, having to click "Up One" over and over.
Are there any plans to ever improve Beatcraft, or come up with something even better?
I swear to god I'd buy it the day it was available!

Beatcraft won't get updated, it has been replaced with the acoustica studio drums virtual instrument in mixcraft. Have you tried that?

I checked it out, but it seems to be just another midi instrument that you need to play with some kind of Midi controller or write out the parts on the piano roll.
Am I missing something super great here? Is there an easy to use interface for it?

Using Acoustica Studio Drums with the drum maps in the piano roll is pretty cool. Check out this video: Mixcraft 6 Mini-Tip: Using Acoustica Studio Drums.

Drum maps make it easy to know which part of the drum kit you're programming with hits.

I'm a licensed user of Mixcraft pro 5 & 6 and Beatcraft.

I think Beatcraft is the best drum sequencer ever.

I also have iDrums, Geist, Maschine, etc. and nothing
comes close to Beatcraft with its pattern editor and
snap track editor.

Acoustica Studio Drums is nice but would be nicer still
if it had BeatCraft's pattern editor and snap track
editor (in addition to the piano roll).

If BeatCraft were a plugin I'd use it with my other DAW's.
I have Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Studio One, Digital Performer
(and a couple others) as well as iDrums, NI Maschine, Geist
and none of these as easy to use as BeatCraft.

Allowing Beatcraft to die is a huge mistake!

audio. I have a dozen synth plugins with drum patches, etc. Beatcraft's
genius was its pattern and snap track editors! Piano rolls are no way near
as easy to work with. I still use Beatcraft as it instead of the acoustica drums
simple because it is easy to fashion a drum arrangement. Basically I jam
along with Beatcraft until I get the entire song groove worked out.
Then I have to render that and move it to my DAW. Sometimes this involves
sending it to my Mac to use with Digital Performer. If I had a midi render
I have drum synths for the sounds. It's the editors in Beatcraft that are
so valuable. Please please please add render to midi or package Beatcraft
editors as a midi editor plugin!

Just going to chime in and say that I agree with this. The biggest strengths acoustica has with its software is ease-of-use. Abandoning Beatcraft is giving up one of your biggest strengths.

add my name to that.
i have used the trial and was very impressed, especially the electric/808 style stuff.
so easy to use, and with a few modifications ( if needed ?) would be up there beating the competition.
obviously i dont have the experience in sales, so maybe it is not financially viable?
but , just as soon as funds allow i will be buying it.

A simple click-on, click-off control mechanism is very efficient for making percussion patterns, and if Beatcraft could incorporate VSTs, this could also be used as a MIDI pattern maker to make possible bass groove rhythms.

Of course I know some people were wondering if Mixcraft could have a Beatcraft feature in it. I see that you added the Studio drums in response, but I think the main feature that makes Beatcraft so useful is the groove editor, not the piano roll.

Of course I know some people were wondering if Mixcraft could have a Beatcraft feature in it. I see that you added the Studio drums in response, but I think the main feature that makes Beatcraft so useful is the groove editor, not the piano roll.

For those of us who are guitarists and not keyboard players, the Beatcraft interface was just so much easier.
