Can I remove skips

Is there a way to remove small segments of a sound file? Some of my records 'repeat skipped' for several seconds during recording and then continued normal play.

Hi,

There's no way to seamlessly remove small sections of sounds -- there will always be a track split left behind. You could try editing the recording in an audio editing program if you wanted to remove the skips more seamlessly.

The best solution, of course, is to try to capture a recording with no skips. Make sure that the LP is clean before you try to record it, and that your tone arm is balance properly, if that's an option.
