Maximum File Input Size

Post by Kswarthog »

I have searched the forum, and have not found a reference to this. Is there a maximum input file size? I have a file that is around 700MB; a bit over 8 hours total, and I want to split the tracks. When Spin it Again loads the file, it loads in only about the first two hours of the file. The tracks seem to split okay, but, of course, it's not the complete file. Info and/or a solution would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

Are you using Spin It Again version 2.5 build 46? What kind of audio file is it?

Thanks for your response. Yes, it is Ver. 2.5 build 46. The file is an .mp3 file. The file plays as normal mp3, a little over 8 hours of recordings in one file. Spin it Again senses the tracks, but is only processing about the first two hours of the file. I would like to split the file so I can burn them as individual mp3 to CD for playing.

Hi,

Does the entire MP3 file play normally in other programs?

Theoretically, as long as the file isn't larger than 4 GB, it should load. There are MP3 splitter utility programs out there. You could find one of those and try splitting the MP3 to see if it will load into Spin It Again.

Yes, it plays okay in my mp3 player; Winamp. I'll try to find a workaround for it. Thanks.

You could load it into Mixcraft and split it with that.
