EQ question- getting more bass than treble

Bear with me, I may have alot of questions. Newbie here excited to be getting started digitizing a large collection :) I've done a few songs & feel I have the recording levels decent. They sound decent in the car, volume-wise & such. I think I'm fairing ok with "cleaning up" some scratchy ones as well (Thanks for making that so easy!). But, I have noticed the few tracks I've done have more bass than treble. Do I need to EQ something someplace? Turntable only has volume control, & I'm going in direct to computer. Can I use something in "effects"? Can U remove pops & clicks AND do an EQ, or is it one or the other?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

You can do both if you like, but first you should try to just get a good recording and figure out why there's no treble. Make sure your LPs are clean and the needle is dust-free.
