Scratch and pop elimination on cassette tapes
I have several cassette tapes that have records recorded on them, 45's and 78's mostly. Needless to say, some of the recordings sound rather scratchy. Can the scratch and pop elimination features of SIA be used to clean up these tapes. Is SIA able to tell the difference between records and tapes when used for recording. Can I "fool" SIA into thinking casette tapes are records and use the pop and scratch elimination feature like that? Thanks........GREG

Hi, the software doesn't tell the difference between lp's and cassettes other than they each have a typical noise type they normally produce. Effects are geared toward those typical issues.
You can certainly record those cassettes you have and then apply different cleaning effects until you find one that works best for your situation.
