Okay, so I accidentally deleted two files I recorded tonight. Now I know there is a temporary folder with files in it. How do I retrieve these files? They are .ipk and I have no idea how to bring them back. I understand they are compressed but how do I get them back? Please any help will be greatly appreciated. This is driving me nuts.

Hi,

The .ipk files don't contain the actual audio information, they just contain "peak" information about the actual wave files. If you didn't empty your Windows recycling bin, the actual wave files might still be in there.

Yeah but stupid me bypassed my recycling bin so I wouldn't have to take the time to empty it later  . So does that mean they are gone completely?

Hi,

Yes, pretty much, unless you get one of those system utility programs that can restore deleted files (assuming the data has not been overwritten).

Maybe you should turn the recycling bin back on. ;-)
