Save as doesn't remember where it saved to last time

I'm breaking big mp3 files into smaller chunks and saving them as mp3 or wav.

1) One problem is that whenever I do Save as mp3/wav, it doesn't remember where it saved the files to last time. This means I need to navigate to my target path every time which is getting pretty tedious. It's a small problem but very annoying.

2) Second problem is that while breaking up the big files, I need to cut part of the file and leave in on the clip-board until I save the segment that's left in the mixer. I tried to start up a 2nd instance (which works) but I can't past from one instance to another. Can this be fixed? Leaving big segments of mp3 files on the clipboard isn't very safe, and of course it means that you can't copy/cut anything else or you'll lose what's there already.

Thanks, John

Hi John,

We're probably not going to be making any changes to MP3 Audio Mixer at this point. It's our oldest program (8 years... ancient in software time), and we're busy updating its successor Mixcraft 3.

Download Mixcraft 3 and try it for free.

Here's upgrade info if you are interested.

Well, I did that. I downloaded Mixcraft 3, but it has no better memory about where you've saved or loaded files from that the original MP3 Audio Mixer and, in my opinion, its a lot less intuitive to use as well. I suppose that I'll have to look for some mixing software elsewhere.

Hi,

It remembers the last folder I used when I use the Add Sounds button at the top of the screen or mix down to MP3. What are you clicking on, exactly? What version of Windows do you have?
