i can't open mp3, wav etc

when i tried to open a file it only allow to get those soundgroup files..... why i cannot open mp3 or wav ?? pls help
Hi,
Click on the File menu and select "Add Sound."
Or, simply drag and drop the sounds from Windows directly into MP3 Audio Mixer.
