hew hp and vista and cant record sounds
my old hp running xp just died. just bought new hp running vista wont record sounds. If I click volume adjustment it says problem launching windows mixer. please use add/remove in controls panel to add volume control component and then try this again. been using product effortlessly since 03 on windows 98 and xp and now doesnt work. any help?

MP3 Audio Mixer is one of our oldest products and we're not planning to update it anymore. It's been replaced by Mixcraft. If you're a registered owner of MP3 Audio Mixer, you can upgrade to Mixcraft at a reduced price.
If you'd rather stick with MP3 Audio Mixer, you can use it with Windows Vista. Just right-click on the small volume control on your Windows task bar and select "Recording Devices." You can choose your default recording device and adjust its volume there instead of using the "Adjust Recording Levels" option.
