Not registering any sound

I've hooked my digital 8 track recorder into my computers mic input and opened acoustica and when I hit play on my recorder I don't see it registering on acoustica. No levels, doesn't record anything.

Hi,

In Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer, click on the red recording button and then the "Adjust Recording Levels" button. Make sure the Mic volume control has a checkmark under it (or next to it) so it is selected.

Using the Line In input will produce better results for recording your 8 track recorder. The microphone input may be mono and it will have too much gain so that the recording sounds too loud and distorted.

Hi,

How do you have the tape machine connected? What input are you using on the computer?

In MP3 Audio Mixer, if you open "Adjust Recording Levels," what do you have selected?
