cda ripping error message

Post by ukulele123 »

Hi there,

if I try to rip cda files I get this error message :
"'C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\....\Lokale Einstellungen\Temp\Acoustica_Temp\.....wav' is missing a data chunk!"

(I've replaced User&song-title with "...")

any guess what could be wrong ?

The problem seems to be with external drives. I tried this from a usb connected drive and got the same error you got, then I put that cd in the internal drive and it worked fine.
Try an internal cd drive.

Hi,

If you don't already have version 1.0 build 24, download the latest version of Acoustica Audio Pro.

Does this happen with any CD or just that particular CD? You are right-clicking on an audio CD, correct?

Is it a laptop? Can you test it on another drive even though that one is internal?

Hi,

I was just making sure that the .cda files were actually on an audio CD. Some people try to copy them off a cd and end up with a 1k .cda file that has no audio data.

Try ripping a CD, then quit the program and send us the converter-log file from your \Program Files\Acoustica Audio Converter Pro\ folder.

C:\Program Files\Acoustica Audio Converter Pro\converter-log.txt

Submit an Acoustica Support Request.

Greg
