Tracks randomly going out of tune

Post by Facto »

So I've been using Mixcraft 7 pro for about 2 years. All good until maybe late Summer when this started happening. Randomly a specific virtual instrument track within a project will jump out of tune. This happens sometimes while playing, sometimes during playback. I thought it was Omnisphere originally because I use that a lot but then noticed it happens across all my synth plugins. If it happens during recording it sticks. If it happens during playback on a previously fine track it can go away by restarting the track. I even had it happen on a track from a year ago that I opened and played. Resources on my computer are fine....have 16 RAM. So I'm left with thinking it's either my keyboard controller or Mixcraft. Any troubleshooting ideas would be appreciated as this is making recording difficult.

Hi,

Once it's out of tune, does it stay out of tune? Which virtual instrument other than Omnisphere have you seen this with, specifically? Are you using Mixcraft 7.7 build 316?

No, it will go back randomly. If it was recorded it will change as it did. But sometime I can start a recorded piece that was fine and one track will all of the sudden be out of tune.....I simply restart the track and it will be okay. So bizarre. Yes, 7.7 316

Hi,

What else is going on in the project? Are there effects on those tracks?

If you make a simple Glass Viper project, can you get it to happen? If you can, submit an Acoustica Support Request and send us the project file.
