Loops (In Worship)?

Post by Rocket545 »

So I know absolutely nothing about using loops.. I'm wanting to use them in worship services at our church. How would I go about using these loops in mixcraft? Or would it be better to purchase something like Ableton? Sorry I know this is really vague but any help is greatly appreciated. :)

I make and use loops for worship services. Depends on what you want to do exactly.

Usually just using mp3's is the way to go. Otherwise, Ableton is best - you can live-trigger tracks or loop clips very easily. Most touring artists that come through our place are using Ableton for loops. It is possible to use Mixcraft, but again - depends on what exactly you want to do.

I'll PM you and we can discuss.

Could you not use the performance panel? to put your stems or MultiTracks in for each song?

That wasn't an option, as there was no Mixcraft performance panel in 2013. 8)

Hi, Men! Yeah, mostly just lurking for a couple of years now. Maybe next you'll be looking for EL34 to chime in.

Anyway, to the point here: the performance panel is ABSOLUTELY capable of running loops and MultiTracks in live situations.

I wonder if there's anyone doing this with Mixcraft 8 on a regular basis?

Ha! Nice to hear from you.

I have a feeling the performance panel is really overlooked in cases like this. It was designed for live performances, so it would work out really well in worship service context as well.

Now were's that EL34 hiding?

Well what do you know. Ask and ye shall receive!

I would be interested in some kind of tutorial vids on the basics and alternative uses for Neanderthals.
I never really went beyond exploring it briefly when first introduced, and watching the existing video's.
In both cases for me, outside of EDM or "beatz" etc, I still just "don't get it"
