Waves b360 plugin crazy high pitch sound
So when I load up an instance of the Waves b360 plugin a super high pitch screeching noise happens... I nearly blew out my ears. This doesn't happen with the normal instances of the plugin but happens with every instance of the (vst3) instance of the plugin. I don't know if this is a problem with the plugin or with Mixcraft but this could potentially be dangerous to people's ears.

Hi,
Is it feedback? Do you have a live microphone?

Nope it's not feedback it's just happens with the vst3 version of the plugins. I load them up and it happens with these

B360 5.1/Quad
B360 5.1/Quad (vst3)

B360 AmbiX-FuMa Quad
B360 AmbiX-FuMa Quad (vst3)
B360 Mono/Quad
B360 Mono/Quad (vst3)
This happens with plugins highlighted in red with a super loud screeching noise.

Hi,
Okay, we'll check it out. A good rule of thumb for VST3 plugins is that if you're having a problem with a VST3 plugin, just use the VST2 version instead.

Hi,
Do you have build 413? If not, try updating.

Re: Waves b360 plugin crazy high pitch sound
Hello again,
We can duplicate the problem with the B360 7.1/Quad (vst3) plugin, and we've let Waves know about it.
In the meantime, use the VST2 version.

Re: Waves b360 plugin crazy high pitch sound
Now that I'm revisiting this issue I've remembered I had some other plugins disabled a while back that were having this issue
R360 5.0 (VST3)
M360 Mixdoown 5.1 (VST3)
M360 Manger 5.0 (VST3)
M360 Manager 5.1 (VST3)
MV360 5.1 (VST3)
Nx Ambisonics Quad/Stereo (VST3)
NX 5.0 (VST3)
NX 5.1 (VST3)
NX 7.1 (VST3)
NX 7.1/Stereo (VST3)
H-Reverb 5.1 (VST3)
H-Reverb long Stereo/5.1 (VST3)
S360 IMager 5.1 (VST3)
IR360 sound field 5.0 (VST3)
It's obvious this problem has to do with 5.1 and 7.1 plugins in vst3 format. Even in a plugin like Dorrough360 5.0 which is just a metering plugin you can see a fixed red bar pegged out but of course no noise because it's a metering plugin but you can clearly see something is causing a signal in all these surround sound plugins. For now I'm disabling anything that has 5.0, 5.1, 7.1 in VST3.

Re: Waves b360 plugin crazy high pitch sound
How long has it been since you updated your Waves plugins? I'm asking because a few months ago all of the "360" surround plugins disappeared during an update. I notified Waves, and they were restored in the next update a few weeks later. I'm mentioning this because it's possible that your problem was already known to Waves and has already been fixed.
