Better editing/quantizing of Drums

Post by Drawn01 »

Hi Guys,
is there a way better way of editing 10 drum tracks at once in mixcraft? (Real recorded drums not midi) (more so alignment edit to the grid) the editing warping tool does not editing/warp multiple clips at once so I have to manually edit the clips on the timeline....I posted the below in the mixcraft suggestions, or is there another way within mixcraft? Thank you.

01: Editing warping tool needs to be able to warp/edit multiple clips at once (not just one at a time) what I need for editing 10 drum tracks at once (real recorded drums not midi)
02: linked clips on timeline need to be able to drag cut across all at once (as per linked clips) **not dragging clips to move but adjusting cut as a group**
03: cross fades on timeline at end of clip cuts needs to be available (to not use rubber band for fade) at end of cut clips on timeline.
04: zooming in further deeper on clips in timeline
05: keyboard short cut for adjusting track/clip height on timeline (or is there a short cut for this already?)

RELAX! They're only dums mate!
I wouldn't put more than 3 mics on drums... if you have 10, create a submix track and sort them that way.
And if they're that crappy, get the drummer to replay the part

YOU relax mate! You don’t obviously have to deal with a massive double bass drum kit,
Also submix does not fix the problem.

I feel your pain. I've had 16 tracks of just drums before and editing them in Mixcraft is useless. You need to be able to select mulitiple tracks and move, warp, quaintize, whatever you wanna call it as a group. I started by linking all the clips and cutting and moving them, but that's waaaay too much work. It's just not reasonable. I ended up using Protools. If Mixcraft had this feature, they'd up their game, and there wouldn't be a need, for me at least, for any other daw. Good luck my friend. Hopefully by the time I have to record a kit like that again this feature will be addded.

I really hope that sometime very soon in the next upgrade or update they address this, it’s really urgent, it would make Mixcraft perfect, for real drums editing it’s a must, every other DAW can do this to some degree better than Mixcraft, I LOVE mixcraft but this is a absolute must!

You should probably put it in the Mixcraft suggestion thread.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion! This has been logged as a feature suggestion for Mixcraft 9.

There's no need to keep bumping and posting in multiple topics about this.
