Templates

Hello,

Simple question here, I can't exactly remember..but when a user opens MC and is greeted with the New Project Settings window. When the load Template option is selected, and browse is then selected..shouldn't the templates window open? and not the projects window? Or is there a problem with the way my templates have been filed?

Hi,

When I do that, the Files of Type option is set to Mixcraft Templates.



I'm using v8.1 build 413.

Yea I thought that was what was supposed to happen. However when I do that I get this...?

Hi,

That looks right. I see what you're saying - you assumed it would automatically show all your templates?

You still have to browse to the location where you saved them. If that's the correct folder, maybe you just need to scroll down.

OK Thanks Greg. Yea, they are all there... scattered about, That leads me to the obvious (to me) next question..is there a way to have only the templates show in the templates search? I mean what's the point to have a templates search, if it's going to include everything in your saved projects folder? Isn't that a Mixcraft projects search?

Just was wondering if this might be for the suggestions post? Or does MC have a file system like one of the other guys..not naming names ..but their name.. both start , and end with an r!

This has always been a minor annoyance to me. I think its a good suggestion to have Mixcraft look in a dedicated template folder Ron. It would make sense and be a more fluid workflow for those of us who often load from templates.
Might even convert some who don't...…

Go ahead. Add the suggestion!
