Oh you mean like multiple MIDI devices with the same name and identifier??? Or mix down to 176.4kHz??? That type of thing???
Haven't tested them yet.

Thanks for the previous message.
What do you suggest us to do to continue working?
I hope the update with the corrections comes out soon
We tested Aria here with build 415 and it's working fine for us. Aria doesn't even have a sidechain option, so it wouldn't be the same issue in any case. Please get the problem to happen again, then quit Mixcraft and send us your Mixcraft-log.txt file.
To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file. Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.Code: Select all
%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\
Greg
I have done what you tell me.
And I've also attached screenshot.

Re: Potential problem with instrument GUIs in version 415
Hi,
Anybody having the problem of sidechaining plugins getting cut off at the bottom can try build 416, which is available here.
Works for me! I tested it with DensitymkIII,
Greg

Re: Potential problem with instrument GUIs in version 415
I downloaded and tried out Build 416. The two problems noted in my original post:
1. GUI has bottom cut off upon opening first time
2. GUI has more and more of the bottom cutoff on subsequent openings
Have been fixed. This is very good news.
However, there is still a problem. Now, when the GUI is closed and opened multiple times, the GUI bottom shrinks away from the GUI border more and more. The GUI is remains fully visible and fully usable at all times.
The first image below shows the TDR Nova GUI the first time it is opened. I added red lines to the lower righthand corner of the image to indicate the distance from the bottom of the GUI and the bottom of the GUI frame. Note the red lines are close together. Then I closed and reopened the GUI 15 times. The red lines now indicate that the distance from the bottom of the GUI and the GUI frame has increased.
I checked to see if Build 413 had this problem on the off-chance that I had failed to notice it before. Build 413 does not evidence this problem.
Unfortunately, your software engineers still have a tweak or two to make, but the GUIs are usable.

Yes, there's something still not right about this. I tried adding an instance of Voxengo Spectrum Analyser to a track. Each time I reopen the plugin, the gap between the actual plugin gui and the bottom of the plugin window grows a little more.
This is 32-bit build 416.

Hi,
Yup, I'm seeing the same thing with the DensitymkIII plugin. Good catch! Thanks for testing this and reporting it.

Odd one. I am seeing the GUI size creep up at the top. Punt.

We're gonna be on 8.2 Build 1 before you know it (I assume that's what happens when we get to 8.1 Build 999???) LOL!!!
Dying to try it but what does this mean:

That I shouldn't try it because it's going to muck with my registration details or what???Please note - If you are using a licensed Pro Studio 8 and need the update, please contact betazoid@acoustica.com.

Re: Potential problem with instrument GUIs in version 415
I have good news and bad news.
I downloaded Build 417 and tested GUIs with the sidechain window. They now work perfectly!
However, I decided to check regular GUIs to see if perhaps all of the fussing around had an effect where before none was noted.
Unfortunately, this is the case as shown in the figures below. GUIs without a sidechain window may now have the bottom frame bar move downwards with subsequent openings. The GUI remains fully visible and functional.

Re: Potential problem with instrument GUIs in version 415
This is for registered PS (pro studio) users. You need to contact them if you wish to install and test the PS version of the beta, as the public beta is the RS (recording studio) version.dpaterson wrote:Dying to try it but what does this mean:

It wouldn't "damage" anything, you would just install and run a version without the added PS features.
But unless you are eager to test it.... There's likely to be another patch or official release shortly, your not missing out on anything.
