Hello,
I need a few pointers on this please.I am using mixcraft 7 (32 bit) on HP 15-BS015DX - 15.6" HD Touch - Core i5-7200U - 8GB Memory - 1TB HDD lap top. My interface is the PreSonus AudioBox USB 2 channel mixer. Once I have two or three tracks down, each additional track that I try to record has issues. Lagging and glitches happen repeatedly as I try to record each subsequent track. I need to record a project that has 7 or 8 tracks per session and this is happening at track 3. No plugins used yet. I watched the optimizing Mixcraft for windows video already but I'm not seeing anything that jumps out as relevant.
If anyone could give me some resources or even just three or four things to try that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Help with lagging, glitches, and sync problems
Hi,
Is your laptop plugged in or are you running on battery? If it's the latter, try plugging it in. Is Windows set to run in high performance mode (as opposed to power saving mode)?
Are you using ASIO mode in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences? If not, try ASIO. Download and install the latest drivers for your Presonus AudioBox USB 2 from the Presonus driver page.
If you're already using ASIO mode, click Open Mixer and try increasing your buffer settings.

Thanks Greg. It is plugged in and windows is set to high performance mode. I'm also using the ASIO. I moved the buffer size from 512 to 2048 and the issue persists. Anything else I might try? Thanks again.

Hi,
The next time you notice the problem happening, quit Mixcraft and send us your mixcraft-log.txt file.
To find the mixcraft-log file, highlight the following line and press Ctrl+C to copy it:
Press the Windows Key+R to pop up the Run box in Windows. Click in the Run box and press Ctrl+V to paste in the line from above. Finally, click OK to go to the location of the mixcraft-log.txt file. Submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach the log file along with a brief description of the problem.

Could be a low memory issue... With a 32 bit application you can't utilize most of that 8GB of memory you have installed. You are limited to between 2 to 4 GB of total memory usage, depending on your O.S. version (32 or 64 bit).Walsh_Patr wrote:Hello,

If your O.S. is 64-bit, you should install the 64 bit Mixcraft, which will then let you use all of the 8GB memory.
