Better drums?

Post by kr236rk »

Hi,

Season's greetings to all at Acoustica Forums! ;)

Upgraded from a Yamaha DD65 unit to a full Digital Drums 400 Compact Electronic Drum Kit by Gear4music, it's much more comfortable to use but the sound quality of the kit I find inferior to the relatively tiny DD65. I route the electronic drums out through an analogue mixer to my DAW interface & into Mixcraft 7 & 8.

Is there any way I can upgrade the 400 kit? It basically needs a better brain (like me) but with higher quality percussion effects, it seems a shame to have all the triggers + armature & not the quality of sound to go with it.

Has anyone upgraded one of these units please?

Thanks :)
