Trump's Rhythm Stick

Post by Ian Craig »

Youtube blocked this worldwide, so you'll have to use the Dropbox link here.
I noticed when listening to Donald Trump's State of the Nation Speech during the night here in UK that it appeared to have the exact spacing of Ian Dury's Hit Me with your Rhythm Stick so I downloaded the speech video and loaded the track. I only had to cut the applauses out to get it to work (no tempo or pitch adjustment). I think it works best at the end of the track, which is only several minutes into the speech. I haven't checked the rest of it out ... yet.

Okay, I updated it using the 'Melodyne Studio' plugin in Mixcraft for a laugh (the second half is better)

Yeah, I walked off and it occurred to me when I was in the kitchen. I thought it was rhythmically interesting. He always sounded like Walt Disney wrote his speeches so I'm not surprised you fell asleep

Bloody Youtube. I pitch-shifted this by a semi-tone and double removed the vocals of the background and their algo-rhythms still gets it. I've edited and updated this track so it's a lot more fun now as I used melodyne and inserted lots of text and photos and stuff https://www.dropbox.com/s/vy7hf27dnnhzm ... 2.mp4?dl=0
