That’s a good article, thanks for posting it. There are also many other good inexpensive microphones worth checking out too. For example: The Sennheiser MD421 and Rode NT3 are two of my favorites.

Yeah, this is definitely not an article on inexpensive microphones.

Microphone placement is most important, and it doesn’t always take an experience mic to capture what’s really needed... In fact sometimes it takes a really cheap mic too capture a desired (needed sound).
