How to make particular percussive string sound?

Post by bob53050 »

Hello all,

Any thoughts on how I can generate the sound of muted guitars played to make a percussive sound like the song Dark horse and a cherry tree using a virtual instrument?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

The best way might to use a virtual instrument that includes Pizzicato samples in its library.

Download the free Ample Guitar m lite;
Listen from 2.30.
If you want string as requested you need to shorten the notes in the piano roll. Highlite a bunch of notes and drag them all to a short time, probably 1/16 note, add compresion.

Acoustica has a muted guitar instrument. Look under guitars, electric. :D
