Cherry Audio Voltage Modular problem (WAS: Mixcraft Suggestions)

Post by Mark Bliss »

Hello, I'm Mark.... And I am a plug-in addict.

I confess....Pulled the trigger on a minor purchase to get the latest freebie.

And speaking of which, there is a free version of the Cherry Audio modular synth floating about, but I cant for the life of me figure out how to get the product code.
Attn. Dan, or whoever.... The process is either really messed up or I am an idiot. (I freely admit to leaning toward the latter)
But regardless.... Software should be easy and all that stuff!
Stay in tune, Mark

Add to Cart, purchase, then load the software and within about 30 seconds it will download your stuff for you, you don't have anything to do, except have an account and login to it (which happens automatically when you load the software anyway)

Thanks Ian, but heres whats happening for me- (to start with, there was apparently a server related issue when I first attempted to acquire this to try it out.)

But now still-
If I click on the "add to cart" link at PluginBoutique, I get a prompt to enter a product code. Which I dont have. And if I go to Cherry Audio's site, I get the same prompt.
I see where it says the code should be in my user account at PluginBoutique, but its not.

Its all an awful lot of effort for a user who isnt that keen on synths in the first place, I gotta say! But now its become a puzzle and a challenge.....

Have you got the base software installed ?
If so & if I recall correctly I've had that happen too. The thing to do is just load the software, watch the bottom left of the software for 'retrieving your stuff' to appear. If it finishes loading that go to the library tab and see what is installed and what isn't, then try, if you haven't already, clicking on the store tab to add it to cart - there may be an error there I think. If so go to the cherry audio website and try there if you haven't, otherwise wait till they respond here or join the cherry audio forum (the link is on their website).
Yes, "why don't they run all their websites in a similar way?" is a response I've had. I guess we'll just have to wait, as usual. Oh well 8)

Yeah, no worky. Endless loop.
If I try via the Cherry Audio website, I go to my shopping cart to check out, and am prompted to verify my account. (While logged in to my account.)
Resend verification email, nothing but the same endless non-functioning loops.

Its broken and life is too short. I'll see what support has to say from either, but for now, I've spent far more time on this than its worth. Moving on.....

Hi,

You need to click on the link in the verification email, and I have to say it: did you check your spam folder? If it's not there, support can help you.

Sorry, Joe. Your suggestion got hijacked to this split-off topic.

Cherry Audio Voltage Modular problem (UPDATE)

Post by Mark Bliss »

UPDATE:

Resolved (I think)-
It appears there was multiple problems, between a server issue with Cherry Audio's site, Something odd with PluginBoutique's end, and still quite possibly some dumb mistake(s) on my end.

Thanks Greg, but spam folder wasn't it.... :D

This morning PB support manually added it to my account or something, and now I have a product code to proceed further with.
I will install later, possibly this evening, and give it a whirl.

Thanks to all who assisted, but seriously, no hair lost, (Or none left to lose) just reporting on my experience to inform others as needed. 8)

Oh man, I just saw this. As if the typical synth wasn't complicated enough, now we get to design our own too. Oh well, back to my preset surfin'. :D

Tip: If you like Voltage Modular, add the Cherry Audio Voltage Modular Core + Electro Drums package. 8)
