After you get it... If you still get a "no device is connected" when you try to install the driver... You should also report the problem to Yamaha Support.

Okay bummer... I hope the new cable solves the problem. But it's uncommon (strange) your old cable just stopped working like that for no reason. Anyway, best wishes.

I just bought a new one today, it must be some software malfunction. Or maybe the hardware on my keyboard.
Thanks bro!

You got to have this type of cable hooked up to your computer. That is why you are getting the " no device connected" warning after installing the USB midi driver. That driver is specifically for that USB terminal( USB To Host ). If you have a USB printer handy it uses the same cable and you can temporarily try it.

We are talking about the S900 correct?

Yes, I noticed yesterday that the driver installer was only for the USB to host. And thanks, I used the printer cable and IT WORKED! I don't know why the the other connection stopped working, I spent 20 bucks for a new cable for nothing, but now it's fine.
Thanks everybody!! :D

Hi,

Maybe some Windows or other software update messed with your USB drivers? It's hard to say.
