Re: DAWS supported by WAVES plugins
Why yes, thanks for the question!
I happen to favor several of their many products and have used some for many years in Mixcraft.
(Apologies to anyone who finds my "price of rice" reply excessively "snarky" but I guess maybe I just failed to see the point in the OP.)

Re: DAWS supported by WAVES plugins
Oh don't worry, there are much snarkier ways to respond to that Mark!
Honestly, if OP is concerned that WAVES won't work with Mixcraft, he could have either downloaded a trial and installed it to see what would happen, or he could've contacted WAVES themselves to see if they could check compatibility with Mixcraft. I mean it's not exactly Acoustica's job to maintain WAVES' compatibility list.

Re: DAWS supported by WAVES plugins
I'm not sure but it looks like the original poster may not be able to see their Waves plugins listed in Mixcraft.
Am I right in thinking Mixcraft 8 supports Waves via Vst3. Or does it support their waves shells? I had a look at the Acoustica sales bumph and (to me) things were not that clear.
I have my none vst3 waves plugins in my vst64 folder using "shell to wave" so I can use them in my none waves compatible DAW's. With that facility they would show up for me no matter what the DAWS limitations are, so it was never anything I'd look at when buying Mixcraft.

Re: DAWS supported by WAVES plugins
I admit that I haven't used all the DAWs available, but out of all the DAWs I have used Mixcraft is my favorite, so I voted for Mixcraft.Acoustica Greg wrote:What is the best DAW in the world today? Vote now for your favourite

Hi,
But seriously, now. If you find your having problems with Waves plugins in Mixcraft, just use the VST version instead of the VST3 version.

Is it that guitbuddy is frustrated that Mixcraft was not added to the list he/she posted?

I use VST2. VST3 has given me nothing but grief. (With a few exceptions unrelated to the conversation, IE: non-Waves products.)heks wrote:Am I right in thinking Mixcraft 8 supports Waves via Vst3. Or does it support their waves shells?
Crossing my fingers in hopes for MX9 to resolve some of this. I know the dev team is working on that.
I currently have I apx 30 Waves titles, only one doesnt work in Mixcraft. And it was a freebie title I would never use anyway. (Pumper)

Waves installer has its quirks. i have had some problems.
There have been discussions on that.
