a silly question
how do you enlarge a track horizontally and keep it at one spot? for example it i wanted to do an editat bar 32 i would move the cursor to that bar, then make the track bigger, but then everything moves. i can't seem to enlarge the track and it stay at the bar i want. any suggestions? all of my other daws do this.

Re: a silly question
Try moving the mouse cursor to 'bar 32' then just mouse up with the mouse wheel?

Hi,
It should zoom where you have set the caret.

Can you explain what you mean here? I tried your example and nothing 'moved' that I am aware of.carllackey wrote:... but then everything moves...

Re: a silly question
when i put the cursor say, at bar 45,and i want to zoom in on that particular bar, when i do that the whole timeline is moved. i also use waveform 10 and all you have to dois click and scroll with the top wheel and it expands horizontally.
Re: a silly question
1. What version of MC are you using? As far as I remember MC 6 and some versions of MC 7 do not centre on zoom.carllackey wrote:when i put the cursor say, at bar 45,and i want to zoom in on that particular bar, when i do that the whole timeline is moved. ...
2. If it's MC 8, go to preferences/interface and check the dropdown box at the bottom. If it says 'mouse cursor' change it to last left click and caret.

Re: a silly question
Here's my setup in prefs - All I do is place the mouse cursor anywhere and wheel up or down to zoom horizontally..
