I started Mixcraft in version 8, and made a few tracks with it.
It was nice and easy, but I ran into several issues and I was skeptical about the future of Mixcraft development.
Then I tried Cakewalk, ACID Pro 8, Reaper and FL Studio for months, but I could never be as productive as I was in Mixcraft.
Thanks to the generous upgrade path, I decided to give Mixcraft another go.
And...
Mixcraft 9 is just awesome.
It gets a whole new mixer, new MIDI features, new plugins, improved stability and some hidden new features. Very well done!
I don't want to belittle other DAWs, but in my experience, Mixcraft handles MIDI and loops better than ACID Pro 8 (especially non-ACIDized ones), handles MIDI and arrangement ten times easier than Cakewalk Sonar, doesn't require many scripts to be usable, and doesn't have a weird workflow.
I believe Mixcraft will be the only DAW I use in the next decade. Please market it further and highlight new features; more people should know about this good piece of software.
Mixcraft 9 is awesome

Hi,
Wow, thanks for the great review.
By the way, if a wav file is acidized, Mixcraft will read the tempo data.
